I bought this dress thinking I had another lacy dress that I could easily layer over it... only to realize the other dress didn't quite work the way I wanted it to? Might be worth another shot at some point. Maybe a burgundy belt, but not a waist cincher?

Bonus: we went to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery for the "Pasticcini Flight" tea set, and it was actually kinda good!

I get, like, irrationally angry when I see people on Instagram posting with a request to comment/share/like their content. It bothers me a little bit less on YouTube, because a lot of YouTubers are intentionally trying to monetize their content (but also, a lot of YouTubers don't do this anymore). I think the problem is that I've used Instagram since the days when it was more community-minded, where you were sharing your doll photos with other people because you liked looking at doll photos and you wanted to contribute to the total number of doll photos out there. The problem with asking people to comment/share/like is that, of course everyone wants people to do that. Most doll people are not making monetizable content. We're all equal actors in the attention economy. I also want attention! But when you ask for it, it's like you're saying that your doll content is better than other people's, or that you deserve to have more attention than other people. It just looks thirsty, or trashy. This is the problem with the attention economy: you only get promoted by the algorithm if you're already getting a lot of attention, or if you're giving a lot of attention to others, but giving attention to others is also taking up time that you could be using to, yanno, take good doll photos.  Anyway. Tl;dr only ask for likes/shares if you want everyone to know you think you're better than them.

Dmitri, my precious idiot baby, has survived 19 entire years on this planet (no thanks to his own personal efforts, tbh). I am a lazy sack of shit, and so I had purchased these 18 balloons for his 18th birthday, and then never actually took a picture with them. Also, for many years we celebrated his birthday at the end of March. But then recently, I went and looked it up, and based on when he joined us, his birthday was probably more like the end of April. Still planning to celebrate for him at the end of March, but I do things late on the reg. Anyway.

When I was a child, I was terrified of the azaleas in front of my mom's house, because they were the only flowers that attracted bees (dad is a Grass Man), and I was scared of bees.

Also these white hydrangeas are like WE ARE AHEAD OF THE CROWD (also they're in full sun on a very tiny bush so...).
