This was my look for Dolpa 51 (April 2024). It's not bad, but it feels very basic. The blouse isn't cotton, it's poly, and I'd like to replace it with something more cotton-and-pintucky. I think a coord with a yellow blouse would also be really fun, but... how often am I going to use a yellow blouse? I do love the headband and I'm looking forward to wearing it again, even though it's more sunflower than daisy.

The cut of this dress is interesting (which I think might be why it ended up on sale...). It's labeled as "camisole," and it has a more camisole-like cut that some of the sleeveless Pink House dresses (it's also labeled as one-piece, but I don't think Pink House labels anything as JSK, even if it is). The neck is a little lower, and the straps a smidge narrower, though you can't tell from this photo. It also came with a wide waistband, which I am wearing tied around my waist. There isn't a waist tie in the back, which the dress actually needs a lot more than the big chunky waist tie. The fabric is really lovely, though. A little thicker than lawn, but it has a complex texture with a bit of openness. Really quite nice! I need to get some closeups. Here are some of the promo pictures for comparison.

I bought an old Pink House dress in yellow that I think would look good under this, with the black JSK completely open. I have to tailor the yellow dress a bit, I think. A project for the summer.
